Before you begin.
The Niche Explorer runs on YouTube's public data. To use it, you need a free API key from Google — takes about 5 minutes, one time only. Here's exactly what to do.
Go to Google Cloud Console
Open the YouTube Data API v3 page and sign in with any Google account. Click "Enable" if it's not already enabled.
Create credentials
In the left menu, go to Credentials, then click "Create Credentials" → "API key". Google generates a key immediately. Copy it.
Paste it below
The key is stored only in your browser. Nothing is sent to us. You can revoke it in Google Cloud any time.
Free tier gives you 10,000 quota units per day. That's around 10–15 niche analyses. Enough for most weeks.
Should you build here?
Enter a YouTube niche. In 60 seconds you'll know whether it's worth your next 90 days — or whether to walk away.
Tip: Be specific. "History" is too broad. "Ancient Roman military history" gets better signal.
